Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun)
The Jolly Grant Airport, also known as Dehradun Airport is located in Dehradun. It is situated about 25 kms. east of the city of Dehradun and is situated at the foothills of the Himalayas. Recently, the airport was extended to accommodate larger aircrafts.
Earlier, this airport could only accommodate smaller aircrafts but after it has been expanded, it is now able to handle Airbus A320s and Boeing 737s as well.
Chakrata Air Force Base (Chakrata, Uttarakhand)
The Chakrata Air Force Base is located in Chakrata, which is a cantonment town in the Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. It is located between the Tons and Yamuna Rivers at an altitude of about 5,500 to 6,500 feet above sea level.
Pant Nagar Airport (Pant Nagar, Dehradun)
The Pant Nagar Airport is located at Pant Nagar, in Dehradun and it has also been upgraded recently to accommodate larger aircrafts like the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320. Further, Pawan Hans helicopters also operate from this airport, connecting Dehradun to various cities in the state.
